The genesis of Raido Consultancy is deeply rooted in my extensive career as a marketing leader. With over 15 years of experience spearheading digital marketing, content strategy, and leading teams, my professional journey has been intricately tied to the arts and nonprofit sectors -- especially in recent years. This path has not only honed my skills in strategic marketing and planning, brand management, and cross-functional collaboration but has also ignited a fervent desire to apply these capabilities toward empowering artists, creators, and mission-driven organizations.
The Imperative for Specialized Marketing in the Arts and Nonprofit Sectors
The arts and nonprofit sectors have always faced unique challenges in marketing, primarily due to their niche audiences and often limited budgets. However, these sectors represent profound opportunities for impactful marketing. Studies suggest that while nonprofit marketing spending has traditionally been low, with many organizations allocating less than 5% of their budget to this area, every dollar spent on marketing can significantly enhance fundraising efforts and overall visibility.

That cause can be philanthropic or simply one close to an individual's heart for the betterment of the world. My vision is to bridge the gap between marketing potential and realized success, especially for those who operate with the passion that drives the arts and nonprofit sectors. The Bedrock of Experience
My recent experience directing significant brand marketing projects for the American Heart Association exemplified my ability to drive significant shifts in public perception through innovative campaigns and strategic communications. There, alongside a diverse team, I steered brand visions that profoundly supported health equity initiatives. This tenure, alongside other senior roles at organizations like The Mission Continues and Technovation, sharpened my expertise in digital performance and integrated marketing campaigns, significantly impacting revenue and engagement metrics.
Before founding Raido Consultancy, I led the marketing efforts at the 2019 Feeding America Food Bank of the Year, Gleaners Community Food Bank, where my team and I orchestrated a 72% rise in digital fundraising revenue amidst a global pandemic. Each role underscored the transformative power of well-crafted marketing strategies in enhancing visibility and achieving substantial outcomes.
Pivoting to Solo Projects and Partnerships
Beyond traditional roles, my passion for the arts propelled me into unique projects that combined creative zeal with marketing acumen. In 2017, I partnered with FolkWorld Records in Germany to conceptualize and release the compilation album "Lied Der Kämpfer - A Tribute To Darkwood." This project was not just about marketing a record but about telling a story that resonated deeply with the audience, bridging connections between the artist's intent and the listener's experience.
In 2018 and 2019, I aided photographer Julian Starks in launching his book "Life Behind Bars, Vol. 1," a project that inspired the foundation of the animal rights nonprofit, Visions of the World, Inc. My role was instrumental in framing the narrative that connected potential supporters with the book's underlying cause. Around this time, I began a six-month stint in a contracted role as Marketing Communications Director for burgeoning AI startup Waymark. Aside from developing brand guidelines and establishing a digital presence for the company, I sought to ingrain the values and culture of the people at Waymark into their marketing campaigns. This strategic direction included spearheading cause-marketing initiatives that contributed to revenue growth but also reinforced the philanthropic and caring nature of the individuals that comprised the company in its early years. These initial ventures into nonprofit marketing deepened my understanding of the sector's unique challenges and the impactful possibilities of strategic marketing.
Following this, I again followed my passion for music and collaborated with Moondrop Records in Denmark for "We Are Dust - A Tribute to Of the Wand & the Moon." Sourcing musicians for the project and engineering audio tracks, as well as building out video content for promotional purposes, which was a labor of love and a true artistic expression. This project was a deep dive into the niche but zealous world of underground music, and offered the chance to collaborate with some truly authentic and passionate artists. These musical projects in particular were experiences that underscored the critical role of nuanced marketing in the success of arts-related projects and hyper-targeting a more nuanced and discerning audience.
