Back to the Table: Why I’m Returning to the Fight Against Hunger

Today is World Food Day—a day that lands heavy for many of us who’ve worked in the food insecurity space. It’s a reminder that the problem persists, and that awareness alone doesn’t fill fridges. Action does.

For the past few years, I’ve been fortunate to build Raido Consultancy into a space for creative, purpose-driven work; especially at the intersection of art, music, and social impact. That work has been meaningful, and I’ll continue to hold space for it selectively. But recently, I felt a familiar pull. A reminder of why I started in this work to begin with.

I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Move For Hunger as Director of Marketing.

This isn’t just a career move, it’s a return to a mission that’s personal. For two years, at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, I served in a similar capacity with Gleaners Community Food Bank. From that experience, I understood that hunger is solvable. We have the food, we have the logistics, we even have the data. What we need is more connection, more willpower, and yes, more creative, strategic communication that turns intention into impact. That’s the work I’m stepping into now.

Raido isn’t going anywhere. It’s just evolving with me. Going forward, I’ll be more selective with the projects I take on...likely staying focused on collaborations in the art and music space where I can support meaningful storytelling and creative, cultural work.
